Plantation Marketing Group is a marketing and consulting firm specializing in marketing plantations, high-quality recreational and unique investment properties to high net worth individuals.

PMG is based on the career long study and practice of reaching high net worth individuals and knowing the trigger mechanisms that cause them to buy. The partners are recognized experts in the field, one with a doctoral degree and one a masters. They represent an exclusive base of clients nationwide.

The principals of Plantation Marketing Group, llc are Jon Kohler and Erica Hanway.

Jon Kohler

Jon Kohler —Jon Kohler is a member of both the Florida and Montana Bar and has a Bachelors Degree in both Real Estate and Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management from Florida State University and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. His entire professional career has been representing landowners and buyers of plantations and high quality real estate. He founded Jon Kohler & Associates in 1991. He has been a part of almost all modern plantation sales in SW Georgia and North Florida and has sold the highest selling plantation in SW Georgia history (twice). He is one of the leading experts in conservation easement sales and development and has testified on real estate value to two Governors and the Florida State Legislature. His office is located on a 975 acre Conservation Community in Tallahassee. He owns the Lick Skillet Plantation outside Tallahassee which he has placed under a conservation easement with Tall Timbers.

Erica Hanway

Erica Hanway — Erica earned both a Bachelors Degree from James Madison University in Virginia and a Masters Degree from Florida State University. Her entire professional career has been specialized in real estate marketing. She was one of the early members of Arvida's Capital Region marketing team representing St. Joe (NYSE:JOE), Florida's largest landowner, in its SouthWood and SummerCamp projects. She was then recruited to head the marketing program of Centerville, one of the first conservation communities in North Florida. As the operating partner of Plantation Marketing Group, LLC she provides marketing services for several prominent real estate brokers including a sales agent that she has helped place in the top 1% of Tallahassee Realtors® for 2007 and top 5% for 2008. Plantation Marketing Group, LLC oversees all marketing for Jon Kohler & Associates and has been instrumental in the success of the firm. She enjoys spending time with her husband Harper on their farm outside of Monticello, Florida.

The Cuneos

Al & George Cuneo — Ensuring that all of Plantation Marketing Group's
creative ideas become a reality, designers Al Cuneo and his son, George
are integral members of the team. Cuneo Creative Consultants has more
than 45 years experience in the graphic design industry and brings awardwinning
design expertise and a unique creative edge to advertising,
collateral products, and web building. Cuneo has worked with several
Fortune 500 companies, including Flowers Industries, St. Joe Land
Company, Proctor and Gamble, and was the creative force behind the
successful development of the Homes and Land Publishing Company, the
nation's largest real estate publishing entity.

Mark Atwater

Mark Atwater — Mark is the owner of Upclose Photo and has been working with our affiliated companies for over five years now. The photography of Mark L. Atwater features hunting retrievers up close and wide open- as most people have never experienced them. His retriever photography features hunting, upland, hunt test, training, puppy, and portraits of working retrievers and other gun dogs. Along with high impact retriever photos, Mark also photographs a variety of nature, wildlife, and scenic subjects from the southern U.S. His work has become a tremendous asset to our marketing efforts. Plantation Marketing Group recruited Mark to be on their team of experts and his superior photography is now an exclusive benefit to PMG’s clients. Born and raised in northern Indiana, Mark attended college at Purdue University where he received a BS in Agronomy and MS in Botany and Plant Pathology. He married his college sweetheart, Shannon, and they reside in rural Seminole county in southwest Georgia. He has been a serious photographer for over 25 years. Among his favorite subjects are ducks and duck dogs along with the wildlife and wild places of south Georgia and north Florida. His work as a botanist in wildlife habitat restoration and invasive plant management has provided an abundance of opportunities to capture God’s glory on many beautiful properties. Unique landscape images of longleaf pine and wiregrass and many native wildflowers and endangered plants are among his favorite photographic targets. Mark feels truly blessed by the natural beauty and wonders God has shown him and allowed him to capture and he hopes that His glory will touch you through his photographs.
